Cameron “paints to express, learn, and understand life experiences of personal and spiritual development.”  Most of her images originate as charcoal drawings from meditation imagery.  She explains that it is the act of painting which becomes the path to integration and comprehension.  She handcrafts and paints each frame to extend the emotional tone of the painting by adding wood or metal components or by gouging, drilling or otherwise distressing the surface.

Kandinsky writes of artist being explorers of the spiritual world with a mission to uncover and express inner truths.  Where the spiritual is revealed through personal and transpersonal experience is the focus of both Cameron’s artwork and her book-in-progress One End Open.  Cameron has had numerous one-person and group shows throughout New England over the past 25 years.
